Amanda Steele Bio


Managing Director

Amanda established Crawford 1031 Advisors in 2018 after recognizing the need for expert due diligence and the proper vetting of alternative investments in the financial services industry. She established Crawford 1031 with an exclusive focus on securitized tax advantaged real estate and private placement offerings, serving as a resource for wealth planners, real estate developers, investment property owners and those looking to grow their income property portfolios.

Utilizing 1031 DST replacement properties and qualified opportunity zone funds as strategies for tax deferral, wealth preservation, and an alternative asset hedge against traditional investments, Amanda and her team have deep relationships with the nation’s top real estate sponsors and have successfully helped clients exchange into effective real estate suitable to their estate planning needs. The firm’s exclusive focus has allowed clients to have a wide range of offerings available for tax-deferred real estate as well as extensive due diligence and research in the securitized marketplace.

An honors graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Amanda holds FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses and is active in the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA), and the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA). In addition, she has completed coursework in Commercial Real Estate and Analysis through MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning.

Outside the office, Amanda spends time with her husband, Jason, and their three teenage sons. She has been an active St. David’s School parent for over twelve years and a member of Providence Church. She would be a negligent parent if she didn’t acknowledge her favorite children, her two doggie daughters, Chloe and Hope.

Vice President of Operations

Amanda Pearson is Vice President of Operations at Crawford 1031 Advisors. She specializes in operational development and management for 1031 exchanges, client services, and marketing.

Amanda is a 12-year veteran in client services and operations in fields ranging from the financial industry to the software industry and even the hospitality industry. As a Psychology graduate of North Carolina State University, Amanda began her journey in the financial services industry in 2010 and is known for helping, educating, and supporting clients as they develop strategic investment plans for the future. Having held client services positions in various industries, Amanda is very detail-oriented and highly effective at tailoring her skills to meet the needs of a wide range of clients. In addition, she holds FINRA series 22 and 63 licenses.

Along with First Vice President of Crawford 1031 Advisors, Amanda also carries the titles of wife and mother. She currently lives in Apex, North Carolina with her husband and two young daughters. You can find them cheering on the Wolfpack and Carolina Hurricanes on the weekends or at the nearest park soaking up the Carolina sunshine.
